Only first-class grapes were harvested for this wonderfully powerful single-varietal wine. After the harvest, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in concrete at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the I Quattro Conti Primitivo di Manduria is aged for several months in 500-litre oak barrels.
