Moriz Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC - Cantina TraminThe Moriz Pinot Bianco from Cantina Tramin presents itself with greenish to light yellow color nuances in the glass and delights the nose with expressive yet elegant notes of citrus fruits, pears and dried apple rings. Fine creamy, buttery notes of caramel and floral hints complete the bouquet of this South Tyrolean white wine. On the palate, the Pinot Bianco Moriz from Tramin impresses with its fresh and juicy taste, pleasant fullness and harmonious minerality. The finish is slightly spicy and long-lasting. Vinification of the Pinot Bianco Moriz The grapes for this fine Pinot Bianco grow on calcareous, gravelly clay soils in hilly areas between 400 and 600 meters above sea level. The name Moriz refers to St. Mauritius, the patron saint of the small hamlet of Söll above Tramin. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 19°C in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, 80% of the Moriz matures in stainless steel tanks and 20% in large oak barrels. Recommendation for the Cantina Tramin Moriz Pinot Blanc This white wine from South Tyrol is a particularly versatile accompaniment to food, excellent with antipasti and perfect with vegetables, cheese, fish dishes and white meat.
