Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC - Cantina TraminThe Gewürztraminer from Cantina Tramin comes into the glass with a powerful straw-yellow color, a result of the reddish-colored berries of the Gewürztraminer. This white wine from South Tyrol has an incomparable aroma spectrum. Aromas of lychee, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg, as well as tropical fruit fill the nose. On the palate, the South Tyrolean Gewürztraminer from Cantine Terlan is wonderfully opulent, balanced and beautifully dry. Despite its richness, it dances nimbly over the tongue and knows how to present its aromatic complexity excellently. Vinification of the Gewürztraminer from Cantine Tramin The grapes for the Tramin Gewürztraminer grow on slopes between 300-450 meters on limestone, loamy to gravelly-loamy soils. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in small stainless steel tanks at 21°C. During the subsequent ageing process, biological acid conversion is deliberately avoided so that this Traminer retains as much fruit acidity as possible. Dining recommendations for Cantina Tramin Gewürztraminer This white wine from South Tyrol goes perfectly with mature soft cheeses as well as seafood, shellfish and Asian meat dishes.
