Delheim Pinotage Rosé - DelheimThe Pinotage Rosé from Delheim Wines displays a vibrant light pink color. The uniquely dense, fragrant bouquet of this rosé wine from South Africa is reminiscent of a fruit basket filled with sweet red raspberries, cranberries, wild strawberries and juicy light sweet cherries. On the palate, this Pinotage Rosé is fresh, fruity, juicy and round. The crisp fruit acidity is countered by a subtle, delightfully melting sweetness, which perfectly balances this rosé from the Cape. Vinification of the Pinotage Rosé from Delheim This classic has been vinified since 1976. Back then, Michael Spatz Sperling and his wife Vera created a true classic when they created the Pinotage Rosé in its first vintage. Regular awards and the multiple award as best rosé of the year (trade magazine Weinwirtschaft), have made your Pinotage Rosé a legend. The Pinotage grapes for this wine grow on expressive clay and sandy soils in the Muldersvlei Bowl community in the legendary growing region of Stellenbosch. The majority of the grapes used for the production of Delheim Rosé are Pinotage, a red wine grape variety that is particularly typical for South Africa, with a small proportion of fragrant Muscat grapes added. The grapes are harvested by hand and selected once again before maceration. The berries are then crushed, the must is left on the skins for only a short time, and the soft pink must is then fermented. Food recommendation for the Delheim Pinotage Rosé Enjoy this rosé solo as an aperitif or with ceviche, yellow bell pepper soup, chorizo carbonara and turkey gyros. This charming rosé is made from 90% Pinotage and 10% Muscat.
