The story begins in 2002, when Orlando Nugnes fulfilled his dream and built the winery with his son Antonio and grandson Orlando Jr. Thanks to their high level of professionalism, innovation, hard work, and outstanding wines, they quickly transformed a simple winery into a flagship company. Antonio Nugnes produced the legendary Falerno del Massico. The mild, temperate climate, the fertile soils rich in volcanic elements, and the pleasant Campania sunshine contribute to enriching the wines with intense, delicate aromas. This is where Falerno del Massico takes on all the characteristics that earned it the Designation of Controlled Origin in 1986. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand at the end of October. This wine is dedicated to Orlando Nugnes' father, Antonio Nugnes, known in the dialect as Onn Antò, who died much too early. This cuvée of classic Campania grape varieties was aged for two years in new wooden barrels in an extremely limited edition. Falerno is definitely a cult wine of Southern Italy! Color: dark black-red. Aroma: complex bouquet, reminiscent of ripe wild berries and cherries. Palate: full, noble tannins, fine acidity, elegant, deep, and almost endless on the finish. Delivered in a wooden crate.
