Vinification of the Lugana Le Creete DOC from Ottella The Turbiana grapes for this Lugana grow in the single vineyard Le Creete, which is characterized by a particularly high proportion of white clay. Turbiana stands for Trebbiano di Lugana, a grape that has been grown in the Lugana region since ancient times. The grapes are harvested at the end of September and well into October, exclusively by hand. Most of the grapes are gently crushed, while a small proportion is gently destemmed and then pressed. This is followed by slow fermentation at controlled low temperatures, followed by ageing in stainless steel tanks on the fine lees for a period of 6 to 8 months.
