Bissersheim Chardonnay Kalkmergel - Weingut WageckThe Kalkmergel Chardonnay from the Wageck winery is a varietal, wonderfully melting and seductive white wine from the German wine-growing region of Palatinate. An intense yellow appears in the glass of this wine. The expressive bouquet is determined by an intense tropical fruit aroma - perfectly complemented by mineral hints. On the palate, this white wine holds an incomparable depth, which is also dominated by fruit aromas and an incredible melt - thanks to the barrique aging. Despite its profound character, the beautiful minerality gives Wageck's varietal Chardonnay a wonderful freshness. Vinification of the Wageck Kalkmergel Chardonnay The site from which this Chardonnay comes is located on the Goldberg near Bissersheim. Here, clay marl and limestone rock dominate the soil conditions. The spontaneous fermentation of the Chardonnay must with the estate's own yeasts also testifies to the winemakers' closeness to nature. This young white wine is then aged in French barriques. Food recommendation for the Kalkmergel Wageck Chardonnay Serve this dry white wine from Germany with desserts or rich salads, appetizers and vegetable tapas, but also fatty noble fish.
