Only first-class grapes were used for this exceptionally balanced single-varietal wine from Weingut Hörner. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on loam and loess soils in the Palatinate. The grapes for this red wine from Germany are harvested exclusively by hand once optimum ripeness has been ensured. After hand-picking, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
