ST #01 Riesling trocken - Weinhaus SteffenThe ST #01 Riesling from Weinhaus Steffen of Mosel offers a brilliant, light yellow color in the glass. This single varietal German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of plum, grapefruit, lime and morello cherry in the glass. It is joined by hints of Mediterranean herbs, juniper and garrigue. This white wine from Weinhaus Steffen is just right for all connoisseurs who like as little residual sugar in the wine as possible. At the same time, however, it never appears meager or brittle. Light-footed and complex, this crisp and light white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the ST #01 Riesling is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this storable white wine from the wine-growing region of the Mosel finally inspires with good length. Hints of plum and grapefruit are again apparent. Vinification of the Weinhaus Steffen ST #01 Riesling The basis for the elegant ST #01 Riesling from the Mosel are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by a few months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled. Food recommendation for the Weinhaus Steffen ST #01 Riesling Enjoy this white wine from Germany ideally well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompanying wine to fruity endive salad, vegetable salad with beetroot or roasted trout with ginger pear.
