Conde Villar Tinto - Quinta das ArcasThe Conde Villar Tinto from Quinta das Arcas presents itself in a concentrated, deep red color with violet reflections in the glass. An uncomplicated and fruit-driven cuvée with velvety tannins from grapes typical of the region. The Conde Villar Tinto beguiles with intense, fruity aromas of red berries, blackberries, blueberries but also black cherries and plums. Light floral notes can also be detected. The palate is soft, velvety and nicely structured. A well-integrated acidity and velvety tannins combine excellently with the ostensible fruit and together form a medium-bodied, pleasing character. The finish is of medium length and pleasantly fruity. Vinification of the Conde Villar Tinto The Alentejo plain enjoys a dry, Mediterranean climate. The plots of the sites are exposed to intense temperature variations between day and night and are therefore harvested at night. Machines complete the harvest quickly so that the heat of the day does not spoil the grapes. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately separated from the stems, pressed and fermented in steel tanks at a controlled low temperature on the skins. During this process, the marc cap and the must are regularly pumped over. Food recommendation for the Conde Villar Tinto Enjoy this red wine at 14°C, with Mediterranean spiced fish, such as tuna or swordfish, seafood and tomato jus.
