In the glass, this wine has a rich garnet red color with ruby highlights. The nose enjoys an expressive bouquet that reveals intense aromas of juicy berry fruits - especially wild strawberries, currants and raspberries - complemented by notes of vanilla, roasted caramel and freshly ground coffee. On the palate, this Spanish red wine presents a warm attack accompanied by a good structure and soft tannins. The aromas of the nose are also reflected and harmonize wonderfully with the pronounced freshness and balanced body. A pleasantly long finish closes this wine. Vinification of the La Rioja Alta Viña Alberdi Reserva The Tempranillo grapes for this red wine come from the vineyards Las Monjas, El Palo, Las Cuevas in Rodezno and Alto del Rey in Labastida. The vines grow at 500-600 meters above sea level on calcareous clay soil. The grapes are harvested by hand and selected in the vineyard. Once in the cellar, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentation of this red wine takes place at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. After the fermentation process is completed, this wine is aged for 24 months in American oak barriques.
