The vines are planted at an altitude of 570 meters in the 9-hectare San Francesco vineyard, the soils are deep and fine, mainly clay marl and slightly calcareous, facing south-east. The grapes are harvested at the end of September, followed by traditional vinification in red stainless steel tanks, fermentation and complete malolactic fermentation at a controlled temperature. The wine is then aged for 18 months in 225-liter French oak barriques from Alliers and Troncais.
