The grapes were then destemmed and pressed, followed by cold maceration and fermentation with agitation of the skins. This cuvée was matured in 220 and 500 liter barrels made from American and French oak for around 30 months. The Amarone della Valpolicella Campo Leòn also matured for 8-10 months in the bottle.
