Reserve Red - ReynekeThe barrel-aged Reserve Red from the wine-growing region of the Western Cape offers itself in the glass in dense purple. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is evident in clear church windows at the edge of the glass. This single varietal South African wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of blackberries and plums in the glass. This is joined by hints of chocolate. The Reyneke Reserve Red impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this South African naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. In the finish, this well storable red wine from the wine-growing region of the Western Cape finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of blackberry and plum show. Vinification of the Reyneke Reserve Red This powerful red wine from South Africa is produced biodynamically from the grape variety Syrah. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in concrete and large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
