Riesling VO feinherb - Von OthegravenWith the Von Othegraven Riesling VO, a first-class white wine comes into the swirling glass. It offers a wonderfully brilliant, light yellow color. The first nose of the Riesling VO presents nuances of honeysuckle, acacia and nectarine. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances. The Von Othegraven Riesling VO presents us with an incredibly fruity taste on the palate, which is of course also due to its residual sweet profile. On the palate, the texture of this fleet-footed white wine presents itself wonderfully light and crisp. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Riesling VO reveals itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this white wine from the wine-growing region Mosel, more precisely from Kanzem, finally convinces with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and sandstone. Vinification of the Von Othegraven Riesling VO The basis for the elegant Riesling VO from Mosel are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions on the Mosel. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and sandstone. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Riesling VO can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.... Food recommendation for the Von Othegraven Riesling VO This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to asparagus salad with quinoa, fruity endive salad or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
