Branco - Mandriola de LisboaThis Portuguese cuvée presents wonderfully expressive notes of pineapple, passion fruit, and lychee in the glass. There are hints of other fruits as well. This Portuguese wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with 3.8 grams of residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities, and thus this Portuguese wine naturally delights with its finest balance, despite all the dryness. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety and silky texture. The balanced fruit acidity caresses the Branco with a soft mouthfeel, while still retaining a juicy liveliness. In the finish, this wine from the Lisboa region ultimately impresses with beautiful length. Hints of lychee and pineapple appear again. Vinification of the Branco from Mandriola de Lisboa The basis for the first-class and wonderfully elegant Cuvée Branco from Mandriola de Lisboa consists of Fernão Pires and Muscat grapes. After the harvest, the grapes are swiftly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Branco can harmonize further on the fine lees for a few months. Food pairing for Mandriola de Lisboa Branco Ideally, enjoy this white wine from Portugal well chilled at 8 - 10°C as a companion to a whole range of great dishes, but it is also a pleasure to drink solo.
