Chianti Classico Riserva

Die Weinwelt ist sich einig darüber, dass der Chianti Classico Riserva von Brancaia zum Besten gehört, was die Weinbauregion zu bieten hat. Gekeltert überwiegend aus handselektierten Sangiovese-Trauben der Reblagen Brancaia und Poppi, ergänzt ein kleiner Anteil Merlot die Komposition. Der Sangiovese wird 16 Monate im Tonneau ausgebaut, der Merlot hingegen im Barrique. Nach Abfüllung reift die Cuvée noch für mindestens ein Jahr in der Flasche. Im Glas präsentiert sich der Brancaia Chianti Classico Riserva in strahlendem Rubinrot. Das Bukett verführt mit saftigen Kirschen, Brombeeren, Zwetschgen, einer feinen Kräuterwürze und Anklängen an Leder zum ersten Schluck. Am Gaumen erneut viel Brombeere, ergänzt um Schwarzkirsche, dahinter sinnliche Noten von Thymian, Mokka und Eichenholz. Ein fruchtbetonter Wein mit ausgewogenem Gerbstoff, der in ein anhaltendes und animierendes Finale gipfelt.Toller Begleiter für Rinds- und Kalbsbraten oder zu herzhaften Eintopfgerichten! The 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva offers up hints of macerated dark cherry, mocha, licorice, cinnamon and new leather. Deep and substantial on the palate, with terrific depth, the 2020 is showing beautifully today. It's a rich, heady Riserva to enjoy now and over the coming years. Straddles the fence between elegant and powerful, with the firm structure and vibrant acidity keeping this focused and long. Sangiovese and Merlot. Best from 2025 through 2045. Wine Spectator This has a darker character with toasted spices and walnuts with ripe dark cherries and currants on offer. Medium- to full-bodied and firm with linear tannins and steady acidity. Focused and structured with a long, straight finish. A little chewy at the end. From organically grown grapes. James Suckling The 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva is a smooth and supple wine with plenty of dark fruit, cherry and toasted spice that reflects a warm growing season. All of these organic wines from Brancaia are impeccably put together and show no hard edges thanks to careful fruit maturity and oak aging. This Riserva has sweet tannins over a mid-weight finish.
