Pinot Noir has a long tradition in Salem and has been since the 18th century. The first French pinot cuttings were brought from Dijon to Lake Constance by organ builder Karl Joseph Riepp with the organ pipes for the Salem monastery church. Today the Pinot Noir wines present themselves with a strong cherry red color. With a fruity scent of red berries and cherries, they have finely integrated, velvety tannins. A rather lighter variety, at the same time round and harmonious.
