In the glass, this wine glows a light reddish brown with golden highlights. The fresh aromatics delight the nose. Aromas of fresh walnuts and acacia honey unfold. The classic dried fruit notes are also present on the nose and also on the palate. The personality is wonderfully lively and has a medium-length, warm finish. Vinification of the Justino Henriques Sercial The Sercial grapes come from 17year-old vines growing on limestone and sandstone on the small island of Madeira. After harvesting and selection, the grapes are fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards, this wine is aged for at least 10 years in used wooden barrels. This Madeira is blended from several wines, all of which have been produced by themselves through the individual vinification of white grapes and which have spent at least 10 years in oak barrels before bottling.
