Montes Twins

The Montes Twins in Apalta and Marchigüe supply the grapes for the eponymous red wine blend. Both wineries are located not too far from each other in the Colchagua Valley. But while Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Carmenère grow on slopes that are sometimes gentle, sometimes steep in Apalta, Tempranillo in the flatter Marchigüe region already benefits from the first Pacific currents. Each terroir shapes the grapes in its own way, giving the deep red blend its uniquely intense and expressive character. Dense fruity aromas of ripe cherries, strawberries, and figs are underpinned by hints of leather and tobacco. Spicy, toasty notes reveal the oak aging used for a portion of the wines (40%), and everything blends together harmoniously, both smooth and powerful, with ripe tannins and vibrant freshness.
