Notes of raspberry and strawberry reappear. Winemaking of Muri-Gries Lagrein This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Lagrein. For this beautifully balanced, pure varietal wine from Muri-Gries, only premium grape material is harvested. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for Lagrein are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse and minimally selective machines. After hand-harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation ends, the Lagrein can rest for several months on fine lees to further harmonize.
