Morellino di Scansano by Jacopo Biondi Santi is a red of territorial identity, which preserves in the bottle the most authentic soul of Maremma viticulture. The blend from which it is obtained provides a prevalence of Sangiovese grapes and a good presence of Cabernet Franc grapes. After a traditional red vinification, the wine ages in barrique for 8 months. On visual examination it is an intense ruby red color with purple veins. It manifests a beautiful, frank and vinous nose that insists on enveloping ethereal notes and fresh red berry fruit. In the mouth it is dry and savory, well structured, with well integrated tannins and a finish of excellent persistence. Excellent to accompany a mushroom risotto, a Milanese cutlet or roasted red meat.
