Barbera d'Alba DOC La Bettola Erbaluna - Azienda Agricola Erbaluna

The grape variety is rightly experiencing a kind of rebirth in Piedmont. The varietal acidity gives the wines an interesting inner tension. We have also learned a lot at Erbaluna in recent years. This variant deliberately shows the fruity side of the variety through cooler fermentation and a shorter maceration time. The grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks, a small amount is then stored in large wooden barrels. Freshly picked cherries, red currants, lively but friendly acidity and very fine-grained, pleasant tannins.
