On the palate, the wine fills the mouth with pleasantly ripe fruit. The Steinberg is a flatterer, a charmer straight out of a picture book. In addition to the ripe fruit, the background acidity and stoniness that the wine has is fascinating. The acid builds up very slowly, stays in the background, so to speak, and only becomes present with the second sip. But then it clearly shapes the Riesling and ensures a dancing and lively finale.
