The Martelo is more modern. It needs some air - it is recommended to open the wine about half an hour before drinking. This creates a rich scent of fresh wild berries, plums, blackberries, a touch of iron, vanilla and cloves.On the palate, the Martelo is creamy and coats the mouth with velvety plum, blackberry jelly, some licorice and ripe blackcurrant in the finish.The characteristic acid structure gives the wine a fine balance and refreshing lightness. The Martelo is characterized by its rich fruit. A balanced, creamy and dancing Rioja with great freshness, rich fruit and silky tannins.
