Nikka's Coffey Grain is a Japanese corn-based whiskey, made by continuous distillation in Coffey stills. Ageing follows for a period deliberately not declared by the distillery. It presents an intense amber colour to the eye. It opens to the nose with sweet aromas of vanilla and oriental spices, which are enriched with notes of bitter orange, curry and cardamom. It has a complex, sweet and pasty flavour, which leads back to sinuous and intriguing Arab atmospheres. It closes on a medium persistent finish that recalls the corn and the ageing wood. By virtue of its uniqueness it is able to make any end of the evening special.
