Bansella Nizza DOCG - Prunotto
Bansella Nizza DOCG - PrunottoWhen swirling the glass, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which is evident in the stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. The bouquet of this red wine from Piedmont captivates with aromas of morello cherry, violet, black cherry and rose. If we trace the aromas further, cinnamon, black tea and cocoa bean are added, boosted by the oak influence. On the palate, the Bansella Nizza from Prunotto starts off wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. This silky, dense and melting red wine is full-bodied and multi-faceted on the palate. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, Nizza DOCG to be precise, is impressive with a remarkable aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the marl and limestone-dominated soils. Vinification of the Prunotto Bansella Nizza The basis for the powerful Bansella Nizza from Piedmont are grapes from the Barbera grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand, limestone, clay and marl. The Bansella Nizza is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. The ripeness of the grapes for this Barbera wine is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Piedmont, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected in particularly long and even grapes and a rather moderate must weight. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for Bansella Nizza are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled. Dining recommendation for Prunotto Bansella Nizza This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, leek soup or boeuf bourguignon. <p| Prix |
