This Velenosi red wine presents the nose with all kinds of blueberries, blackcurrants, blackberries and mulberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, the ageing in stainless steel adds further aromas such as oriental spices, cinnamon and dark chocolate. On the palate, the Rosso Piceno from Velenosi opens wonderfully dry, full-bodied and aromatic. The texture of this light-footed red wine is wonderfully dense on the palate. On the finish, this youthful red wine from the Marche wine-growing region finally delights with its beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of blackcurrant and mulberry. Vinification of the Velenosi Rosso Piceno The basis for the elegant Rosso Piceno from Marche are grapes from the Montepulciano and Sangiovese varieties. Once perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for Rosso Piceno are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Rosso Piceno can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
