In Tuscany, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand, clay and marl. Naturally, Terre di Tufi Toscana is also shaped by the climatic and stylistic factors of Toscana IGT. This Italian can, in the best sense of the word, be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an extraordinarily impressive manner. At the moment of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Terre di Tufi Toscana are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of coarse and less selective mechanical harvesters. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
