This single-varietal German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of pears, pink grapefruit, nashi pear and lemons in the glass. These are joined by hints of other fruits. The Klumpp Pinot Blanc presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This white wine is never coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Pinot Blanc is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. Vinification of the Pinot Blanc from Klumpp This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Pinot Blanc. Only first-class grape material was used for this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Klumpp. In Baden, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of loess. What is unusual about the production of this top quality wine from Klumpp is the fact that the grapes grow on stone terraces in Bruchsal (DE). This time-honored method of vineyard cultivation is unfortunately very costly and time-consuming and therefore rarely found anymore. After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Pinot Blanc can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.... Food recommendation for Klumpp Pinot Blanc This German wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to coconut-lime fish curry, fruity endive salad or roasted trout with ginger pear.
