These notes are rounded off by spicy nuances of sweet spices, laurel, juniper, tobacco and chocolate. This soft red wine is warm and fruity on the palate with elegant tannins. Vinification for the Terre Brune Carignano del Sulcis DOC Superiore from Cantina di Santadi This red wine is composed of Carignano and Bovaleddu grape varieties. The vines are rooted in soils that are sandy and calcareous. The predominant climate in Sardinia is warm and dry in summer and temperate in winter. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature for a period of 15 days. After the early malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to barriques where it is aged for 16-18 months. After that, the wine is aged in bottle for another 12 months.
