Vinification of the Asparagus Edition Heroine by Wageck The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced asparagus edition of Cuvée Heroine from Weingut Wageck consists of Faber, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Kerner, Muskateller, Ortega, and Rieslaner grapes. In the Pfalz region, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow in soils of limestone, clay, and marl. After the grape harvest, the grapes are promptly brought to the press house. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
