Riesling Stolzenberg GG - Heymann-Löwenstein

Stolzenberg. There is not much to add to the name. It was and is the best vineyard, the pride of the Hatzenport community. Geological definition: Devon, Nellenköpfchen layers. A grey-brown, partly very slabby, sandy slate. Two plots with a total area of 0.6 ha are cultivated. Orientation: south, Altitude 100 - 180 m above sea level, slope gradient 100 to 150%, average age of the vines over 40 years. Classification: VDP.GROSSE LAGE. The wine ferments exclusively with wild yeasts in wooden barrels, is matured without any addition of enzymes or fining agents and matures on the yeast until summer.
