Tinto - ConceitoThe Tinto, aged in barrels and hailing from the Douro & Porto wine-growing region, presents itself in the glass with a dense, purplish red color. On the palate, the Tinto from Conceito starts off delightfully dry, firm, and aromatic. The texture of this powerful red wine comes across as wonderfully dense on the palate. Vinification of the Tinto from Conceito The foundation for the first-class and wonderfully powerful Tinto cuvée from Conceito is formed by Tempranillo, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional grapes. The Tinto is a thoroughly Old World wine, as this Portuguese red exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation has ended, the powerful Tinto is aged for several more months in French oak barrels.
