The Apotheke Riesling Spätlese is a thoroughly Old World wine, as this German wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. A decidedly important influence on the ripening of the grapes is also the fact that the Riesling grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate. This is expressed, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripened grapes and a rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After hand-picking, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
