Spätburgunder Blauschiefer QbA - Meyer-Näkel

Medium ruby red with a light rim. On the nose, the typical fiery Ahr aromas of slate combine with dominant Pinot Noir fruit of currants, ripe raspberries, and almost fleshy notes. Very lively on the palate, medium-bodied and elegant with fresh acidity. The spice is surprisingly pronounced over the fruit; only later does the tannin come into play, giving the wine a very long finish. A prime example of an Ahr Pinot Noir.
