Arrogant Frog Réserve AOP - Arrogant FrogThe Arrogant Frog Réserve from Arrogant Frog is a fruit-driven, seductive red wine cuvée made from the grape varieties Syrah (45%), Grenache (30%) and Mourvèdre (25%). In the glass, this wine shines in a powerful ruby red with garnet highlights. The complex bouquet of juicy, fresh blackberries and violets is accompanied by spicy vanilla notes. On the palate, this French red wine is wonderfully balanced with an opulent, soft body. The silky tannins are perfectly integrated and harmonize beautifully with the juicy fruit character and the subtle natural sweetness of the fruit. This red wine is rich, full-bodied and leads into a long finish that is accompanied by roasted aromas. Vinification of the Réserve from Arrogant Frog After harvesting, the grapes are completely destemmed and vinified separately by grape variety. The fermentation process for Grenache lasts 4 days, for Mourvèdre and Syrah 5 days. All three grape varieties are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and the maceration time is approx. 14 days. After blending, this wine is matured in wood – 80% of the barrels are American oak and 20% French oak. Food recommendation for Arrogant Frog Réserve We recommend this dry red wine from France with pasta, truffle risotto, grilled red meat, game and soft cheese, but it is also a real delight with Asian cuisine.
