The Unshackled red wine of The Prisoners winery was born in California, in vineyards located in Monterey County, North Coast, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Lodi. It consists of a blend of red grapes, including Tannat, Syrah, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, which are pressed and vinified at a controlled temperature. The wine then ages for 9 months in American and French wooden barrels. Ruby red in color, it expresses aromas of berries, cardamom and white pepper on the nose. The sip is full-bodied and balanced, with a soft and persistent finish. Excellent in combination with stewed red meats and game.
