Casale del Giglio, winery located in the Agro Pontino, is an ideal area for the cultivation of the Petit Verdot variety. From the vineyards in La Ferriera, this Petit Verdot is vinified in purity. The grapes, which need excellent brightness, warm soils and a windy climate, are harvested when fully ripe. They continue their path in steel, where they carry out alcoholic and, in part, malolactic fermentation. The remainder of this phase takes place in barriques, as does the refinement of 8-12 months. Another 6 months of aging in bottle make the wine ready for marketing. At sight it has a ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose opens hints of cherry, blackberry and juniper berries.
