The finish of this red wine from the Marche wine region ultimately impresses with a beautiful aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral notes from the sand-dominated soils. Vinification of Gagliardi Merlot Selezione The powerful Merlot Selezione from Italy is a varietal wine, vinified from the Merlot grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Marche. Here the vines sink their roots deep into sandy soils. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are brought quickly to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Merlot Selezione can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees. It is the perfect accompaniment to vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, ossobuco or braised chicken in red wine.
