Millesimato VSDQ Pas Dosé Magnum - Giuseppe Contratto

Giorgio Rivetti of La Spinetta has acquired this historic estate. Contratto, based in Canelli (Asti), is the oldest sparkling wine producer (Méthode Champenoise) in Italy. They were the first in Italy to produce sparkling wine using the traditional Champagne method, even before, for example, Franciacorta Spumante existed. The grapes come from Bossolasco at an altitude of 830 meters. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012. Color: sparkling pale yellow, with a long-lasting perlage. Aroma: intense nose with aromas of white fruits. Taste: dry and delicately fruity, robust, with fresh acidity and mineral notes.
