Of the three consecutive top vintages, 2020 is the mid-range vintage, so timely aging is recommended. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in steel tanks, followed by approximately three weeks of fermentation and 24 months of aging in large wooden barrels. 18 months of bottle ageing completes the aging process. A wonderfully complex nose with plenty of fruit and power. In addition to sour cherries and violets, there are also hints of tobacco and dark chocolate. The high degree of ripeness of the grapes at the time of harvest results in a fairly high alcohol content, which is perfectly integrated, and the wine lacks nothing in terms of elegance. On the palate, there is plenty of punch, preserved fruit, a touch of rum pot, and a fine minerality on the finish. The tannins are noticeable but do not overpower the wine. Still at the very beginning of its development, but already with a promising future.
