Viña Sol was one of the first new creations by the young Miguel A. Torres in 1962. Freshly graduated in viticulture and oenology, he looked for a small winery near the family winery to produce a fine, fruity, still white wine using cool fermentation. An absolute novelty in Penedès, which was clearly dominated by Cava at the time. His father was more than skeptical, but the result was stunning! To this day.
