The grapes for this magnificent Pinot Noir come from Gimmeldingen (Kapellenberg) and Mußbach (Eselshaut) VDP.ERSTE LAGEN vineyards, as well as graded barrels from the crus in Gimmeldingen and Königsbach. They combine the unique structure and finesse of their origins. Aging takes place for 18 months in oak barrels, with 20% new oak used. The nose is dominated by red berries such as raspberry, cranberry, and sour cherry. Aromas of orange peel are also detectable in the background. The palate is fine and elegant, and very balanced with a wonderfully juicy texture and finely interwoven tannins. Francophile with Palatinate charm.
