The 2021 vintage, like its predecessor, was not extremely dry. Those who survived the unusually hard frost period in spring could look forward to a comparatively ideal vegetation cycle in summer and autumn. The 21 CUVÉE SPÉCIALE is also more than just a simple Côtes du Rhône and an impressive introduction to the world of Tardieu wines. Despite its name, it is a purebred Grenache Noir from 70-year-old vines. Compared to its predecessor, the wonderful nose is almost completely dominated by red fruits. The finest raspberry and strawberry with lots of violets and some sour cherries. On the palate, a depth that you would expect from a Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Incredibly fine and aromatic at the same time. Acidity and tannin are in a beautiful balance. The perfect balance and finesse already ensures great drinking pleasure.
