Grauburgunder VDP.Ortswein Lahrer Wöhrle

Pinot Gris is the winery's most important white variety. The estate wines play a comparatively minor role here, the more important are the local wines, which were labeled as 'Kabinett dry' until 2014. The Lahrer Ortswein is the quite sophisticated introduction to Markus Wöhrle's Pinot Gris world. And what a! Subtly spicy, smoky on the nose, plus the nutty notes typical of the grape variety. Grapefruit, pear, ripe peach on the palate. The finish has a subtle minerality. Simply a very elegant Pinot Gris.
