The Frühlingsplätzchen faces southwest to southeast. The steepest vineyard here has a gradient of 70%. It's no wonder that the snow melts the fastest here and spring is felt particularly early. The soil is mostly made up of red slate and pebbles, often interspersed with red clay from the Rotliegend.Even the young wines seduce with their playful, spring-like fruitiness. Peach and ripe apple are often associated aromas, but fine herbal notes are also typical of the Frühlingsplätzchen. With a few years of maturation, the minerality of these wines becomes more and more pronounced, and they gain more tension.
