Beaune Clos du Roi Premier Cru - Domaine Chanson

The Clos du Roi vineyard is located below Les Marconnets in a hilly landscape. This old property of the Dukes of Burgundy was annexed by King Louis XI of France after the death of Charles the Bold. Chanson owns about three hectares, which is 35% of the entire site.Bright ruby red color. Intense aromas of ripe forest fruits (black berries, wild strawberries...) paired with spices. Balanced with good energy. Firm and fine texture. Well-curled tannins. Fine and well-integrated acidity. Long finish with fruity notes.
