On the nose, this Italian sparkling wine unfolds typical fruity, harmonious aroma notes; it is subtly sparkling, fresh, and fruity on the palate, with delicate aromatic nuances in the background. Vinification of Villa Chiopris Prosecco Spumante extra dry DOC from Villa Chiopris The grapes for this fresh Prosecco, made from 100% Glera, are cultivated at Villa Chiopris estate of the Livon family in the Grave wine region of Friuli. The soils here are mainly characterized by gravel and alluvial deposits. During harvest, only the best grapes are selected for the Prosecco. The base wine is clarified by natural decanting at low temperatures. Fermentation also takes place at low temperatures. Subsequently, the wine is filtered and transferred into special stainless steel tanks for sparkling wine production using the Charmat method, which occurs at a controlled temperature between 14°C and 3°C. Once this process is complete, the Prosecco Spumante is bottled and allowed to mature for some additional time in the bottle before it goes on sale.
