Taylors Pass Single Vineyard Chardonnay - Villa Maria

Smoky minerality, brioche, and citrus fruits are unmistakable indicators of the Chardonnay from the Taylor's Pass vineyard. Villa Maria's single-varietal Chardonnay gives the site ample scope to develop. Expressive and long, with finely integrated oak. A brilliant straw yellow, the bouquet is elegant, slightly smoky and mineral, with the unmistakable Taylor's Pass aromas of freshly grated lemon peel, flint, and brioche. On the palate, the smoky mineral notes of the bouquet blend with fruity aromas of grapefruit, peach, melon, quince, pineapple, and more subtle hints of oak (almonds, vanilla, delicate toasted notes). Silky, full-bodied, and lively, it has a long finish.
